Banana & Blueberry Smousse

Do you ever attempt to make something in the kitchen but then it turns out totally different BUT it’s actually alright?

We had that this week when we accidentally invented this Banana & Blueberry Smousse (that’s a cross between a smoothie and a mousse).

Basically, it’s two bananas, about 30g of blueberries and a splash or so of milk. Blend it up for a minute or two and pour it into a glass or cup.

You think it’s going to be a smoothie, but then you take a picture and by the time you’re done doing that it’s set and turned into a mousse!

And it’s actually pretty tasty (because it’s just fruit) and unbelievably filling – it’d be a great one for kids!

Do you ever accidentally make something in the kitchen that turns out pretty tasty and great for kids? That’s exactly what we did with this!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium bananas

  • 30g blueberries

  • 100ml semi-skimmed milk

Method

  • Blend everything together for about 2 minutes to get loads of air in.
  • Pour the mixture into a glass or bowl and leave for another 2-3 minutes to set.
  • Eat with a spoon.
