Cinnamon Porridge with Berry Compote (VE)

Ingredients
80g frozen mixed berries
75g rolled oats
1 tsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp cinnamon
250ml almond milk
20g almonds, chopped
Method
- Start by making the berry compote. Add the frozen berries and maple syrup to a small saucepan and cook for 3 minutes over a medium heat until it starts to look like a jam.
- Add the oats, cinnamon, 100ml of water and the almond milk to a separate saucepan. Bring this to the boil then turn to a medium heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes until creamy.
- To serve, pour the porridge into a bowl and top with the berry compote and chopped almonds.
